This year the Festival will pay tribute to Joan Crosas, the acclaimed actor from Osona. Among others he has participated in ''El perquè de tot plegat by Ventura Pons'', ''Ventdelpla'', the play ''Sweeney Todd'' and the award winner in the 2009 edition of the Festival de Curtmetratges de Manlleu ''Yo solo miro by Gorka Cornejo''. The tribute will take place on the May 30th at 6 pm

Until may the 20th you can send your song for the Videoclip Competition. The winner will have the chance to shoot his videoclip.

On may 26th in the Auditoriom Caixa de Manlleu will welcome the premiere of “Mala Sang” (Bad Blood) directed by Sergi Prat and Jair DomÃnguez.

The jury of the 8th edition of the Film Festival will be Esteve Rovira, Film Director (Serrallonga) Joan Roura, actor and director of the Teather award Caixa de Manlleu (El millor dels mons) Anna Solanas, animation director and awarded short film director (la lupe i en bruno) Anna Palomo, teacher at the Vic University and film crititc (el9nou) Lluis Sala, Member of the Caixa Manlleu Fundation.

The Manlleu Film Festival has selected 66 national and international short films that will compete in the offcial sections of Cinema, Video, Animation, Documentary and Osona's Short Film.
